Onward…

The last blog I post was in November 2023.

That was five months ago.

Life happens.

Things get away from us.

We put things on the back burner.

And then the things on the back burner seem to be a figment of our imagination—or, maybe more appropriate, a figment of a past self.

The thought of picking them back up can seem enormous.

“No one wants to hear from me anymore.”

“I really dropped the ball.”

“I don’t even know what I have to write about and share.”

“I’ll feel really exposed.”

Oh, my limiting beliefs could go on and on ad infinitum.

Limiting beliefs fascinate me—we give them so much power.

And, in giving them power, they direct our lives.

I like this visual from Robert Greene, “your fears are a kind of prison that confines you within a limited range of action.”

A limited range of action?

How about 5 months without writing a blog.

What if we actually started to doubt our doubts?

And, instead, what if we actually started to believe, and give power to, our declarations?

What would our range of action be?

I guess this blog is for you—in the event that you, too, have put something away.

All it took was 30 minutes of punching away at some keys and being willing to take a risk.

And that was simply driven by taking a look up on my office wall at a document I created called my “Dream Life”…

I write a book every 2-3 years.

I made a choice to believe that declaration today.

A little less fear.

And it feels as if the prison door opened up pretty significantly.

I invite you to do the same.

Onward.
